He had been scared before but nothing compared to this newest 
situation. 
Skinner stared, his mind on hold, his heart thudding. A cold drop 
trickled down the side of his face; he was sweating in his air-
conditioned apartment. Damn his brother and sister-in-law for 
leaving now, of all times, for a 20th anniversary cruise. 
The twelve year old girl looked up at her uncle, with a box of 
tampons and a look of confusion on her face.
Skinner jumped across the room, grabbed the phone, hitting a 
speed dial button. The line was answered, his voice 2 octaves 
higher.
"SCULLY! HELP!"
